Ron Dombroski started his culinary journey 23 years ago in Chicago. Attending The Culinary and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, he discovered his love for pastry and worked in some of the best restaurants in Chicago, such as Coco Pazzo, Park Avenue Café and Gordon.


After a family crisis brought him to Wisconsin,  he met his wife Kara and started his career as a chef at the award winning Clay Market Café. From there he went on to Johnny Delmonico’s, Pasta Per Tutti and the Market Street Diner.


   Through the years they longed for a life that wasn’t dominated by the long, crazy hours of the restaurant world and finally took the plunge and started SmokeHaus Catering. Though Ron had done extensive catering in the past, he longed to inflect his love of smoked foods into a his  menus'. Hence, Smoke Haus Catering was born.








Ron is the in house Caterer at Kestrel Ridge Golf Club located at 900 Avalon Road Columbus, WI 53925.


SmokeHaus Catering works with several local vendors including the  organically magnificent produce grown by Josh Lubenau  at  located at 538 North Main Street .Fall River, WI 53932. Ron's other choices are  the fresh local beef from Fountain Prairie Farms "Where corn once stood, prairie grasses wave in the breeze and the sounds of waterfowl fill the air. Our registered Highland cattle are raised naturally." Ron gets his special proteins and catch of the day from Neesivigs and its sister company Empire Fish.

   Working with local farmers and purveyors allows Chef Ron to source the best that Wisconsin has to offer. We hope you agree.
